The Sierra Club invites all Transition members to a meeting about the future:

DON'T DREAD THE FUTURE
Sure, people worry about the end of petroleum. And the bite of global warming. But there is much you can do -- no, not the government, You! -- to make a smooth transition into a far different world, a world without cheap gasoline, without food no longer being shipped into our local stores from around the world. If we want to keep eating when harsh facts change our world, there is much we can do. We will talk about preparing your community, your home, for these changes. We will meet Saturday afternoon, 2:00 pm, May 1, at the Veterans' Memorial Library in Mt Pleasant, on University Street a block south of Broadway.
